Same Page was started in June 2018 by two New York writers, Mickie Meinhardt and Sarah Madges, who wanted a more diverse place for all the kinds of funny, interesting, and wonderful words they hear from New York writers today—and to have fun with a series.
It’s now a monthly party for writers and readers, welcoming writers and performers of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and comedy. Think of it as a writer’s variety show, or low-key high art—the kind of series that seeks out passionate, dynamic writing, but doesn’t take itself too seriously. Named for the phrase you say to one another when you both just get it, Same Page is a night where writers across experience levels and genres are celebrated side-by-side.
