St. Francis College MFA Readings!

Tonight’s reading is by the first cohorts of the Low Residency MFA in Creative Writing at St. Francis College, and includes both fiction and poetry by these talented writers:

Jennelle Alfred-Kolasinac, a Guyanese native raised in Brooklyn, is currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing at St. Franics College. Though she prefers to write short stories and poems, she is currently working on her first YA Fantasy novel.

Dana Harris-Trovato, originally from Baltimore, MD, has been teaching a reading and discussion program in schools and prisons for 10 years. She is Vice-Chair of the Baltimore CityLit Project, an organization that promotes the literary arts, and is writing her first novel in the MFA in Creative Writing program at St. Francis College.

Noel T. Jones
is a Staten Island, NY native. Jones studied Creative Writing at Trinity College, Oxford University. Jones’ work has appeared in Flash Fiction Magazine, The Molotov Cocktail, Literary Orphans, and elsewhere. Jones teaches at CUNY Kingsborough, and is an MFA candidate at St. Francis College.

Vincent Longobardi is a writer of fantasy, science fiction, and alternate history. He resides in Brooklyn, NY, where he was born and raised. Vincent is currently attending St. Francis College, where he is pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing.

Adela Sinclair, born Adela Pacurar in Roumania, is a poet currently enrolled in the MFA program at St. Francis College. She also has a Master’s Degree in English as a Second Language and has taught in New York City public and private schools for 17 years.

Stacy Vargas was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She works full time and is a student in poetry in the Creative Writing MFA program at St. Francis College. She has self-published a collection of poems titled Fight, Survive, Thrive.
