In Revolutions Don’t Come to Paradise Alberto Zayden weaves a yarn of stories from his bi-cultural family and current events to create a hilarious tale of political forebodings that explore the perils of a society that worships wealth above all else.  Using verse, song and mesmeric storytelling he draws parallels between Fidel Castro’s Cuban revolution and the election of Donald Trump.  The riveting performance is an ominous warning about the direction of American Society.

Alberto Zayden is an east village writer, poet, playwright and performer.  The New York Times has called his poetry “visionary.”
