New Meridian Arts will celebrate the launch of three new books: Emperor of Nuts by Elaine Barnard, Stories for People Who Watch TV by Timmy Waldron, and I Don’t Belong Here, essays by Melissa Grunow.

Elaine Barnard is an award winning writer and actor living in Southern California. Her stories have been published in numerous literary journals many of them reflections on her travels in Asia and elsewhere. Recently her work was presented as part of the New Short Fiction Series at the Annenberg Beach House in Santa Monica, California. She received her BA from the University of Washington,Seattle and her MFA from the University of California, Irvine. 

Timmy Waldron is the associate fiction editor of The Literary Review. His stories have been published in various print and online journals since the late ‘90s. His first short-story collection, WORLD TAKES was published by Word Riot Press in 2009. Timmy received an MFA from Fairleigh Dickenson University in 2013.

Melissa Grunow is the author of Realizing River City (Tumbleweed Books, 2016), which won Second Place-Nonfiction in the 2016 Independent Author Network Book of the Year Awards, the Silver Medal in Nonfiction-Memoir from Readers’ Favorite International Book Contest, and others. Her work has appeared in Creative Nonfiction, River Teeth, The Nervous Breakdown, Two Hawks Quarterly, New Plains Review, Blue Lyra Review, and elsewhere. Her essays have been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net and listed in the Best American Essays 2016 notables.
