RR: Cacao Dreams

May 23, 2017
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

No cover.  2 drink minimum.
An evening of tasting, learning, and exploring the world of chocolate.

From Siri, with love.

Dark-Chocolate Cacao Dreams Salon features a vertical tasting-flight to intrigue and educate:

Chocolate 3-Ways —

A) straight wild-harvested dark chocolate (no chaser); including an 8-12 minute A/V presentation by Mark Christian of the C-spot™ on the new era of craft chocolate scene making the move in what he dubs “a retro-revolution” (going back to its roots as a pure flavor powerhouse as well as taken in its truer settings… the stuff of pre-Columbian warriors, state ceremonies, aristocratic Euro parties, modern day body temple raves, choc-cannabis medibles, et.al.),” plus some info on Landmark Wild Chocolate Reserve & the chocolate itself;

B) same dark chocolate listed above in ‘A’ paired with a boutique bourbon;

C) Bobbie Lloyd of Magnolia Bakery will confect a piece de resistance / coup de grace dessert with same dark chocolate.

In between each stage of our chocolate dreams — entertainment to cleanse more than just the palate, such as an original chocolate-inspired piece from critically-acclaimed poet Steve Dalachinsky; new music from “Afro-Amerciana” Queen Esther and singer-songwriter Dusty Wright; a special limited edition “chocolate book” reading by artist Heide Hatry; and the world premiere of a new short classical work by composer Steve Holtje.
