Michael Liss is an organizer of the Vail Film Festival and a freelance project manager. He’s a contributing editor to KGB Bar’s literary magazine and has covered the local music scene for Britain’s NME.com. He previously worked in book publishing editorial for four years, most happily at Little, Brown. Mike was imprisoned in China for six days during the Olympics, where he was doing human rights activism for Tibet. This unfortunately cut into his playing time as outfielder for the imposing Paragraph softball team. A member since December 2005, Mike is working and not working on a novel, the first draft of which he finally completed.

Jude Polotan is a native New Yorker who first felt inspired to imagine a world other than her own and write about it in her third grade open classroom at P.S. 13 in Corona, Queens.  She holds a B.A. in English from Marymount Manhattan College and an M.F.A. from Emerson College, where she was mentored by Andre Dubus III (House of Sand and Fog, Garden of the Last Days).  Jude is also a two-time participant of the Sewanee Writers¹ Conference (2002, 2006). After toiling her days away as an executive recruiter, Jude devotes her evenings and weekends to her latest novel, tentatively titled Pas de Trois.  Meanwhile, her previous novel, What Hurts., sits on various desks of various editors at various publishing houses, batting its eyelashes and waiting to be discovered.
