Madison Smartt Bell, born and raised in Tennessee, he has lived in New York and in London and now lives in Baltimore, Maryland. He is the author of 13 novels. His eighth novel, All Soul’s Rising, was a finalist for the 1995 National Book Award and the 1996 PEN/Faulkner Award and winner of the 1996 Anisfield-Wolf award for the best book of the year dealing with matters of race. Robert Stone is the author of seven novels: A Hall of Mirrors, Dog Soldiers (a National Book Award winner), A Flag For Sunrise, Children of Light, Outerbridge Reach, Damascus Gate and now Bay of Souls. He has also published a story collection, Bear and His Daughter Robert. And most recently his memoir: Prime Green: Remembering the Sixties.He has been published in periodicals too numerous to mention. He’ll read from new work.
