Musa Syeed was born and raised in Indiana. As a writer/director in film, his work includes the features Valley Of Saints (Sundance, 2012) and A Stray (SXSW, 2016), both of which were New York Times Critics Picks. He also co-wrote the film Menashe, distributed by A24. Musa was a Fulbright Fellow in Egypt and is an alumnus of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and Middle Eastern & Islamic Studies Department. These days, he mostly composes lullabies for his 1 year old son.

Alegra N. PadrĂ³n is a poet from Miami, FL. She got her bachelors in English from Florida State University.
