KGB: NYU-SPS

Amanda Iles lives in New York, where she writes about other worlds. Her story “That Time He Had to Make Decisions” will appear in Transmundane Press’s After the Happily Ever After anthology in the fall of 2016. In her not-so-spare time, Amanda freelance edits and bakes cupcakes.

Miko Jeffries is a native New Yorker who studies creative writing at NYU. Her writing has appeared in Thesis, the literary journal of Bronx Community College, and in Dovetail. She enjoys astrology, being extremely nostalgic, and traveling.

David Merrell was born in Seattle, grew up in Los Angeles, and now studies creative writing and literature at NYU. He loves dogs, movies, and writing.

Margot Perry is a comedian, performer, and writer born and raised in Queens, NY. Her performances can be found on UCB Comedy, Funny or Die, and The Maude. She is currently writing a musical adaptation of her dark comedy Happy Birthday, David that was runner up at the Manhattan Repertory Theater’s Winter One-Act Festival. She also performs improv at The People’s Improv Theater. She is now a senior at NYU SPS and is very grateful for all the opportunity’s her program has provided.

Sasha Smith is a literature and creative writing undergraduate student at NYU’s School of Professional Studies: McGhee Division. Prior to publication at NYU’s literary journal Dovetail, her work has been published at CUNY’s Bronx Community College’s Literary and Arts Journal Thesis. Sasha is a native New Yorker and born/raised in the Bronx where she runs the Bronx Blaqlist, a community organization that hosts and promotes local artistic events.

Alisson Wood’s essays, stories, and poems have appeared in newspapers and literary journals such as The New York Times, Catapult, Dovetail, Stillwater, and Salad Days Substance. She is the founder of the Bookcourt reading series, Pigeon Pages, and is directing development strategy at Fence Press. She is completing a degree in creative writing and literature at NYU.
