Andrew Solomon is the author of The Irony Tower: Soviet Artists in a Time of Glasnost and A Stone Boat. His most recent book, The Noonday Demon: An Atlas of Depression was awarded the 2001 National Book Award, and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize; it has been published in 24 languages and received 14 additional national awards. He is working on a book entitled, A Dozen Kinds of Love: Raising Challenging Children.
