Knowing Pains is an honest, humorous and thoughtful collection of essays by women telling it like it is.

Ona Gritz writes a monthly column for the online journal, Literary Mama and has published essays in numerous anthologies and journals including The Bellingham Review where she placed second for the 2008 Annie Dillard Award for Creative Nonfiction.

Erin St. John Kelly went from copygirl to contributor at The New York Times and is most proud of her writing that has appeared there and in Gourmet and Brain,Child magazines and on WBFO, Buffalo’s NPR station.

Gabrielle Selz writes for publications such as The New York Times, Newsday, More Magazine and Fiction Magazine and she is currently finishing a memoir on accompanying her mother through the terrain of Alzheimer’s: a story of abandonment, self-discovery and the endurance of love.
