R. G. Emanuelle’s published works include Twice Bitten, Add Spice to Taste and short stories in numerous anthologies. She coedited the Lambda Award Finalist anthology All You Can Eat: A Buffet of Lesbian Erotica & Romance, as well as Unwrap These Presents and Skulls and Crossbones.

Sacchi Green lives in western Massachusetts, with occasional forays into the real world-or to alternate realities like New York City.Herstories have appeared in scores of publications, and in recent years she’s taken to wielding the editorial whip, editing ten lesbian erotica anthologies. Six have been Lambda Literary Award Finalists, and two, Lesbian Cowboys and Wild Girls, Wild Nights, have been Lambda winners. A collection of her own work, A Ride to Remember from Lethe Press, was also a Lambda Finalist.  Her very first lesbian erotica story appeared in Best Lesbian Erotica of 1999, so editing this year’s edition, on the twentieth anniversary of the iconic series, is her biggest thrill of all. So far.

D. L. King lives somewhere between the Empire State Building and the Coney Island Wonder Wheel. She loves to have friends over for barbecue and Cards Against Humanity. Left to her own devices, she would probably drink too much port, but Bat Girl, her cat, sees that she spends most of her time cleaning the litter box and feeding the cat, instead. She’s been writing erotica for about 15 years and she keeps all her literary awards on her desk because she likes to gaze at them while she writes. Yes, she’s just that shallow.

Annabeth Leong is frequently confused about her sexuality but enjoys searching for answers. Her work appears in dozens of anthologies, including Summer Love: Lesbian Stories of Holiday Romance. She is the author of the butch-femme BDSM novella Heated Leather Lover. She performed her dramatic monologue, “The Lesbian Sex Extravaganza Bag,” at Sticky Stories Boston, and is eager for future opportunities to “make it rain” dental dams.

Megan McFerren was born in West Texas, where she grew up riding horses across cotton fields and trying to outrun dust-storms. She always lost those races, and one can only wash caked red dirt out of their hair so many times before calling it quits. A week after receiving a rather whimsical degree in Victorian literature, she moved to Queens, where she’s lived for the last decade. She’s worked as a financier, a funeral director, and now has a happy home at a start-up. But she’s always carried a bit of Wilde with her, and after a few obligatory New York City years attempting navel-gazing literary fiction, she’s found a love that now dares speak its name in exploring queer history through erotic romance.

Drunken! Careening! Writers! is a reading series based on the proposition that all readings should be by: 1) Good writers; 2) Who read their work well; 3) Something in it makes people laugh (nervous laughter counts). And 15 minutes tops. Since 2004.
