James Lasdun was born in London and now lives in upstate New York. He is a poet, fiction and screen writer, and has taought poetry and fiction writing at Princeton and Columbia University and The New School. His last novel, Seven Lies, was long listed for the Booker Prize, and his short story “An Anxious Man” won the inaugural BBC National Short Story Award.
