Annual Thanksgiving Comix and Graphic Novel Night

It’s that time again! Join us for the annual Post-Thanksgiving KGB Comix Night, a free night of live comics readings. four local cartoonists will offer slideshow readings that are sure to entertain, bewilder, and amuse.

KGB Comix Night is more than just a night of free entertainment—we also have a fun raffle with awesome prizes! A $5 donation will get you a raffle ticket. Raffle proceeds are split between the hosts and readers.

Laura Lannes is an illustrator and cartoonist living in New York City. Her comic “By Monday I’ll Be Floating in the Hudson with the Other Garbage” is out now by 2dcloud.

Siobhan Gallagher is a senior designer with Abrams Kids & Comic Arts in New York City. Her first book, “In a Daze Work: A Pick-Your-Path Journey Through the Daily Grind,” is a humor-based, illustrated choose-your-own-adventure story and was published by Penguin Random House in July 2017.

Alex Krokus is loud and smart. Come to this reading if you want that to rub off on you.

Kelly Fernandez is a cartoonist/illustrator from Queens, New York, and is a recipient of the Chicago Alternative Comics Expo’s annual Cupcake Award and a winner of Scholastic’s “Get Published by Graphix” competition. Her work has appeared in “Mine!” And “Dates: Volume 2,” as well as the teen literature/comics magazine “CICADA.”

Gavin Mackie is a New York based cartoonist who recently graduated from the School of Visual Arts. While being known for his pen and ink works, he is also recognized for his bizarre sense of humor and storytelling style.
