Annual Comix and Graphic Novel Night

Spring is in the air! Join us for the annual Easter Sunday KGB Comix Night, a free night of live comics readings. Five local cartoonists will offer slideshow readings that are sure to entertain, bewilder, and amuse.

KGB Comix Night is more than just a night of free entertainment—we also have a fun raffle with awesome prizes! A $5 donation will get you a raffle ticket. Raffle proceeds are split between the hosts and readers.

Katie Fricas is a cartoonist and illustrator whose work appears in the New Yorker, the Guardian, and Hyperallergic. She is the creator of the diary comics series Blabbermouth and the pop culture zine Fashionique.

Bishakh Som is a trans femme comics artist, illustrator and painter from Brooklyn, NY. Her work has been featured in several queer comics anthologies (including in the forthcoming collection We’re Still Here, an all-trans comics compendium), The New Yorker, The Boston Review, VICE, Buzzfeed, as well as in several group and solo shows along the east coast.

Alabaster Pizzo makes animal people comics in Queens, NY.

Vreni Stollberger makes comics about memory and puzzles while watching Star Trek and listening to history podcasts. She’s made comics for the Nib, Dirty Diamonds, The Sun and the Wayward Wind, and her own dark purposes.

Emily Flake is a cartoonist, writer, and illustrator living in Brooklyn, NY. She wrote a book called Mama Tried and has cartoons in the New Yorker because she’s FANCY.
